Huletts Getting "New" Post Office
We're pleased to announce that the Postal Service has agreed to make considerable renovations to the Post Office in Huletts Landing.

Starting in April 2004, the Huletts Landing Post Office will undergo a complete
remodeling. While the outside dimensions of the building will not change, the remodeling will include a new larger lobby, new post office boxes, a complete
renovation of the building, including new windows and doors, new heating and
cooling systems, as well as an updated feel that will still retain the charm of the
existing Post Office that so many visitors mail postcards home from.
The biggest change will be that the lobby will be enlarged to extend into unused storage space in order to accommodate the large number of people using the Post Office
during the summer months.
As the U.S. Postal Service comes under increasing pressure to close small rural
buildings such as ours in order to cut costs, we are happy to be able to work with
them to make these improvements happen.
CORRECTION POSTED SUBSEQUENTLY: Due to delays by the Postal Service's contractor this work will
not begin until October 2004.
